This was my final major project completed during my third year at university. I spent the first half of the term planning and developing the concept, with the remainder dedicated to full production.
For this project, I wanted to focus on improving my environment art skills, so I created a stylized resistance hideout thats hiding in a street café. The environment is set in a futuristic version of London, England, approximately 50 years in the future. The player is guided through a narrative journey: beginning on the street, moving into the café (which doubles as a crime scene) and finally descending into the basement hideout.
A key goal of the project was to communicate the story primarily through environmental storytelling. Crime scene markers, props, lighting, and scene composition were all used to subtly convey narrative details without relying on direct exposition. Visually, I chose a low-poly stylized art direction to create a cohesive and atmospheric environment while also strengthening my understanding of shape language, composition, and modular asset creation.
