The Show Must Go On!

This piece is a 10 week project I completed for a University Project.
A scruffy circus bear teddy, dressed like a clown, sits patiently in a hospital ward. I made it with a sketchy, colourful, childlike style giving warmth and wobbliness of a drawing straight from a kid’s imagination.
Despite the sterile surroundings, the bear waits hopefully in anticipation. Waiting for its young owner to return so they can go to the circus together, using the expired ticket that the bear still clutches onto in his hand. It’s tender and quietly heartbreaking all at once.
